Mine Ventilation
Object of Mine Ventilation :-
1) To provide sufficient oxygen for breathing of men.
2) To reduce the temperature of the working places.
3) To dilute and render harmless noxious and inflammable gases.
Ensuring adequate ventilation in a mine involves :-
a) Proper planning of the ventilation system
b) Proper installation of ventilation equipment and centrol devices.
c) Regualr survey and check adequacy of ventilation and environmental conditions in different parts of the mine.
Proper planning of the ventilation system shall include :-
a) Calculation of air flow required
b) Choice of site of fan
c) Distribution of the air in the different districts and faces
d) Total w.g. required
e) Choice of fan
